EW Facility Services strengthens position in hotel cleaning with two acquisitions

EW Facility Services, Hendriks Hoteldiensten and Hotel Cleaning Company today announced that EW Facility Services has acquired the activities of Hendriks Hoteldiensten and Hotel Cleaning Company. The acquisition follows Eric van Kroonenburg’s wish, director of Hendriks Hoteldiensten, to focus on other ventures without a successor within his organization, and Frans de Beer’s wish, director of Hotel Cleaning Company, to further develop within the hotel segment. Both were looking to join a strategic party that could expand its market share through the addition of both companies.
Hendriks Hoteldiensten and Hotel Cleaning Company are cleaning companies that originated and grew within the hotel sector. Over the past 12 years, they have developed into stable and profitable businesses. Together, the two organizations generate a turnover of 24 million euros and employ 1,350 staff members.
“Hotel Cleaning Company has become more professional in recent years and has grown significantly both financially and organizationally. Joining EW Facility Services helps us continue this growth. We can retain the personal approach we aim for and that our clients expect, while gaining access to major opportunities in innovation and IT, supported by a strong back office,” says Frans de Beer.
Both Hotel Cleaning Company and Hendriks Hoteldiensten will join EW Facility Services while keeping their current names. All employees will retain their existing contracts and previously agreed terms and conditions, so their employment terms will remain unchanged.
Eric van Kroonenburg adds, “I will step away after a careful transition, but Hendriks Hoteldiensten will transfer as a complete organization. That was a firm condition for me. This move supports the ambition of our operational director Yvonne Ingels to further grow our company within the hotel segment. Daily operations will not change much for employees, but those who wish will have opportunities for growth and personal development. I am very pleased about that.”
